Sue Goodhart

After an extensive career in sales and management including fourteen years as a business owner, Sue Goodhart began her career in real estate in 1992. Her educational background includes a Master in City Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College. Sue understands how to apply these experiences to the business of real estate and has been successful as a result. She is licensed in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland and has been a proud Washingtonian for 29 years.

Sue has achieved lifetime status as a Top Producer with the Northern Virginia Board of Realtors. She has been McEnearney Associates' Top Producing agent from 2003 through 2009, consecutively selling $40-$50 million in real estate properties per year. It should also be noted that the Old Town office of McEnearney Associates is the top producing office in all of Virginia. In 2006, Northern Virginia Association of Realtors honored Sue with membership in the Top Twenty Residential Sales Agents' Club. She was recognized for her achievement in both sales volume and number of homes sold. Nothing says success like success!

Sue is also very active in several philanthropies, including St. Coletta's of Greater Washington, The Fund for Alexandria's Child & The Campagna Center. In 2008, The Goodhart Group was named the Small Business Philanthropist of the Year by Alexandria Volunteer Bureau.

In her spare time, Sue likes to relax at her second home in Bethany Beach and spend time with her husband Marty and her daughters Allison and Amanda. She also enjoys attending Washington sporting events, going to her daughter's lacrosse games at Columbia University & exploring the Washington cultural landscape with her closest friends.

Marty Goodhart

Working together to achieve great results has long been a secret of Sue & Marty's success in real estate.   Marty Goodhart works diligently overseeing the "behind the scenes" services that are essential to ensuring a successful transaction.  Marty manages the business and technological training of the team.  Technology is constantly changing and successful real estate professionals must stay current to stay competitive.  Marty is responsible for oversight of buyers' home inspections and coordinating the necessary repairs.  You can be sure that your property will be showcased and marketed in the best possible light utilizing up to the minute technology.

Marty's years as an entrepreneur prior to real estate sharpened his organizational and negotiating skills. Having been an Alexandria business owner for many years, Marty knows how to provide service to his clients. Marty is also well known in the community as a high school basketball coach.

Working with buyers and sellers is often a learning process and Marsha brings over 32 years of teaching experience to the Goodhart Team.  A long standing member of the Saint Stephens Saint Agnes School faculty, she served as the Girls Athletic Director and has coached the girls field hockey team for many years.  Marsha's attention to detail and the unparalleled level of service she provides to clients helps to ensure a winning outcome. 

Allison Goodhart

The Goodhart name is the only name you need to know in real estate.  The newest Goodhart to join the real estate team, Allison certainly knows the family business! In fact, she remembers placing American flags on Del Ray lawns as a youngster to help out her parents' business. Allison now heads the listing coordination process and is responsible for ad placement, brochure preparation and seller communication.

Margo Heegeman
